The Stop TB Canada network has had an amazing year of impact, helping to move the needle towards TB elimination through advocacy. Thank you to our fellow advocates and dedicated partners for playing a critical part in our collective successes. While the fight to end TB has faced many challenges in recent years, our network remains committed to getting back on track to TB elimination, through raising awareness of TB, promoting policy action and increasing resources for TB, and mobilizing the TB-affected community. 2022 Report on TB Research Funding Trends

The report Tuberculosis Research Funding Trends, 2005–2021 highlights that despite reaching US$1 billion in spending, funding for TB R&D is a mere fraction of what’s needed to achieve the UN sustainable development goal of ending TB as a pandemic by 2030- read the full report here.

An Investment Case for New Tuberculosis Vaccines

This document summarizes the results of the WHO-commissioned full value proposition for new tuberculosis (TB) vaccines- the assessment was commissioned to provide early evidence for national and global decision-makers involved in TB vaccine development and implementation. December 31 2022: TB Vaccine Advocacy Fellowship application due- apply here!

The TB Vaccine Advocacy Roadmap (TB Vax ARM) and Stop TB Partnership Working Group on New TB Vaccines are pleased to announce a new advocacy fellowship program, set to take place in February 2023 in the run-up to World TB Day. The program will convene six fellows representing TB-affected communities, advocates, and early career researchers from high TB-burden countries for a skill-building and co-learning program. The goal of the program is to help cultivate a new generation of TB vaccine R&D advocates and stimulate more diverse advocacy efforts for TB vaccine R&D ahead of the UNHLM on TB in September 2023 and beyond.
