Each year, approximately 4 million people with TB are missed by health systems and do not get the care they need.

Reaching the “missing millions” is imperative to global TB elimination and is the primary focus of Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH initiative – an innovative financing mechanism that effectively locates people in hard-to-reach communities so that they can access the care that they need and would otherwise go without.  

To ensure that people affected by TB can access the care they need, Canada must maintain its investment in TB REACH by committing CAD$33 million over three years.

The Canadian government has committed to eliminating TB, yet progress towards this goal has stagnated in recent years. We are therefore calling on the government of Canada to take action by establishing a National Tuberculosis Elimination Strategy. Read about our campaign here.
