Willy Nzungudi

I am a TB survivor living in DRC with one lung. I lost my left lung after 15 years of recovery, in my family 5 persons died of TB and 6 have survived. Last December, I was infected by COVID-19 and the doctor put me under Hydroxychloroquine. I was cured because I have am resilient.

Now, I want to fight against TB in my country and through the world, because this pandemic is affecting everybody.

I am physician by profession and have worked in the field of TB program management since 2008. I have the position of deputy project director for the USAID funded TB projects of TB CAP, TB CARE I and Challenge TB from 2008-2020 in Afghanistan. Also, I worked as Senior TB Technical Advisor for the USAID funded STAR project in Afghanistan. I have several publications in the field of TB that published in international journals. I am the founder and part time advisor for the READ organization in Afghanistan, a leading organization in the field of research and evaluation in Afghanistan. Also, the READ organization prioritized to be the leading NGO in the field of TB in Afghanistan.

Dr. Aminu Babayi

Dr. Babayi is a committed and competent program management specialist and public health physician with over 7 progressive years of health planning and management experience with local and international donor-funded projects in both rural and urban resource-limited settings. He has expressed excellent leadership skills especially during the COVID-19 pandemic as a response coordination program manager. As an experienced public health specialist and administrator, he has extensive knowledge on budget management, financial accountability frameworks and training/coaching of other public health human resources.
